Boho Playroom Dreams

The time has officially come—we said goodbye to the baby room. No more babies on the way, and since we co-slept with both tinies, it made sense. So, I decided it was time to finally create a fun and functional playroom for the boys! We kept the closet and drawers for Noble’s clothes and belongings (multi-purpose magic), and we’re kinda sorta transitioning them into the same room. But that’s a story for another day…

Of course, I came across the viral IKEA drawing table hack—I'll link the Pinterest post! I had to have it.

So I called my dad, made him come to town, and build it for the boys. Papa to the rescue! He’s our go-to handyman. It turned out even better than I imagined, and I get compliments every single time I post it on socials. If you're wondering if it's worth doing—YES. Do it! It cost around $400 total, plus handyman labor (which is free in girl math!).

Then came my husband’s turn—he just had to get the boys a play gym. The bedroom didn’t really have the space, but… here we are. A Santa surprise later, and the boys are obsessed. It lets them explore, cry out for help, and be their adventurous little selves. I wanted the budget-friendly Amazon one, but—shocker—we ended up with the viral Avenlur brand. And honestly? If you can splurge, they’re 100% worth the hype. It’s beautiful, sturdy, and yes, I went with natural wood again. So I’m not even mad.

Our sweet cousin gifted us a racetrack road sticker from Etsy for Christmas, and we added a fun “Bubs Club” sign from one of our favorite small shops to help bring the whole space together!

I can’t wait to see this room grow and change as the boys do. It’s always been one of my favorite spots in our home, and now even more so—especially when I get to join them for slides, playtime, and a million dinosaur roars.
